RESONERA MERA!

Svenska fioler med resonanssträngar

Göran "Göra" Andersson (1868-1939) from Visnum i southern Värmland did some experiments with different fiddle models and sympathetic string. He quite frequently used bone from moose for tailpiece and fingerboard. Göran has only built the neck on this particular instrument and attached this to an existing violin body. The upper saddle seems to have been made by brass. It has been removed but can still be observed on the side. Also note the rose between the f-holes.
