This violin can be found in the national inventory of musical instruments at swedish musums but it is owned by a private individual residing on Gotland. It is a violin, once equipped with 6 sympathetic strings, but the neck is now changed. The owner did not notice the pins for the sympathetic strings close to the end pin before I mentioned it. Unfortunately the violin seems to be unsigned and it is not known whether or not it is built on Gotland. A similar instrument is kept at the museum in Bunge, northern Gotland (Bungefiolen). They are somewhat similar and could both be built by a local luthier.
